Sammut out for two months

Bradford half back Jarrod Sammut will be out for two months after rupturing his PCL ligament.

Sammut, 25, picked up the injury in Monday’s 38-4 win over Widnes, and joins fellow half-back Luke Gale on the sidelines.

Bulls Football Manager Stuart Duffy said: “It’s another blow to us just as we were looking at getting some players back.  Jarrod has been tremendous for us and there is no doubt he will be a big loss for the next couple of months.  He has a similar injury to that suffered by Manase Manuokafoa earlier in the year and the prognosis of eight weeks is the same.”

The Maltese international moved to Odsal in the close season following the demise of Crusaders, signing a one-year deal.
