Wallace signs new Broncos deal

Peter Wallace has ended weeks of speculation about his future by signing a new two year deal with Brisbane.

Former Penrith halfback Wallace, 26, had been the subject of considerable interest from a number of clubs in Sydney.

But he revealed today that he was delighted to be able to stay with the Broncos.

“I was really happy to agree to terms and it is great to be here for another two years,” Wallace told the club website.

“I have really found a home here and have enjoyed my time here.

“I am really happy to be here for at least another couple of years.

“The club itself is in a good place for the future.”

Wallace has played 92 NRL matches since making his Broncos debut in 2008.

Meanwhile, young five-eighth Corey Norman will also remain with the club for a further two years after agreeing a contract extension.
