Eamon signed up to the Wigan Academy in 2002 playing in the prop position during the 2005 and 2006 seasons after leaving Waterhead RL. He was called up to the first team squad before Wigan\'s Challenge Cup clash with Wakefield in April 2006 and went on to make four more appearances. O\'Carroll then went on to make 13 Super League appearances for Wigan in the 2007 season. Eamon was rewarded with a three year contract after making 21 appearances and scoring two tries for Wigan in 2008, he proved his critics wrong with showing that he could stand his ground despite being small. He was named in the Ireland training squad for the 2008 Rugby League World Cup. O\'Carroll started the 2009 season as a substitute against Wakefield Wildcats and earned himself a starting spot for the next few weeks in favour of Andy Coley, however he was ruled out for the remainder of the season due to breaking a bone in his foot. In September 2011, he signed a three year contract with Hull for 2012, but in June 2012 he signed a contract with Widnes until the end of 2014 season.
