Richie Myler is widely regarded as one of the most promising players in the country having enjoyed a tremendous debut season, scoring over 20 tries and making his England debut in the comprehensive defeat of Wales at Doncaster. Myler was also named in the train on squad for the World Cup by England coach Tony Smith, capping a remarkable year for the teenage halfback that saw him named as the Co-operative Young Player of the Year. Richie represented Lancashire and England at academy level having come through the ranks at Widnes Vikings before joining Salford at the start of the 2008 season. His speed, eye for a gap and intelligent kicking game mark him out as a player to watch.
