Profile

Samoan born Tony attended De La Salle College where he played for the rugby league first team. He played for the Richmond Bulldogs in the Auckland Rugby League competition before being signed by the New Zealand Warriors. 
Tony scored on his professional debut for the New Zealand Warriors on March 9th 2001 in a 34-6 win over St George Illawarra. He went on to play 19 games and score 10 tries during the 2001 NRL season. In 2002 he played 18 games including two playoff games and the Grand Final. He also scored a try in the Preliminary Final win over Cronulla Sharks. In his final season at Warriors Tony continued his scoring record and scored seven tries in 18 games. 
In 2004 Tony signed with Brisbane Broncos, making just three appearances for the club. He scored two tries in his second game for the Broncos before leaving and joining the Castleford Tigers. 
Tony played nine games and scored against Leeds but following Castleford’s relegation from the Super League In 2005 he joined Hull. 
He became a regular figure in the Hull first team featuring mainly at fullback but also playing wing, centre and scrum half through his first three seasons at the club. Due to a number of injuries and competition for places Tony’s first team appearances decreased over the 08/09 seasons. He played in 109 games and scored 25 tries for Hull in total before crossing codes to play for National 2 (North) Rugby Union club Hull RUFC. 
Following the end of the Rugby union season, on 13th May 2010 it was announced that Tony would sign for Whitehaven until the end of the season. Tony has also appeared for Championship Rugby Union side Nottingham.
On 28 October 2010, super league club Wakefield announced the signing of Tony for the 2011 season. He suffered a broken hand injury in early 2011 and was forced to miss the first two months of the season.On the 12th of June, Tony made his debut for the Wildcats at Fullback in a 13-10 home win over Huddersfield. He played in all but two of the remaining games of the season and scored against Leeds in round 26.
