Jez Litten made only his third senior appearance for Hull on Monday and earned praise from boss Lee Radford.
The 19-year-old half-back helped set up Carlos Tuimavave’s second try following a scoot from dummy half.
Radford said: “That’s what Jez brings and that’s what we need him to bring. He’s still very young and a couple of times Dayne Weston’s eyes lit up as soon as he saw him in front of him and he went at him and went at him again.
“We know that he will get better with time and physicality. We know he will defend better and we are prepared to wait for that.
“What he does bring, on the other side of the coin, is going to cause some issues from dummy half.”
