York release Dave Petersen

York have released forward Dave Petersen with immediate effect.

The 27-year-old made seven appearances for the Knights this season plus an outing for Coventry via dual-registration.

Petersen scored one try for York and one for the Bears, but had not featured since a defeat to Toulouse back in April.

A York statement read: “The club would like to thank Dave for all his efforts and wish him all the very best for the next chapter of his career.”
