York double-header moved to different venue

Drew Darbyshire

York have confirmed their Super League and Championship double-header later this month has been moved to Bootham Crescent.

The Knights will face Featherstone in a mouth-watering Championship clash on March 22 (2:45pm), with a Super League match between Toronto and Wakefield taking place afterwards (5:15pm).

Sky Sports will still broadcast both games from Bootham Crescent.

The double-header was originally pencilled in to play at the new York Community Stadium – but the Knights have been informed via GLL that the builders have failed to provide information required for the test events to occur.

The Wolfpack are playing their three home “loop” fixtures in the UK due to the cold Ontario climate during the opening months of the Super League season.
