Yere suspended for Grand Final

Sheffield Eagles star centre Menzie Yere will miss Sunday’s Championship Grand Final against Featherstone after his appeal against a two match suspension was dismissed.

Yere was handed the suspension on Tuesday after being found guilty of committing a Grade C, dangerous throw offence during last week’s Co-operative Championship Play-off victory over Leigh Centurions.

The Disciplinary Committee upheld the original decision during an appeal hearing earlier this evening, meaning Yere will miss this weekend’s Championship Grand Final.
