Yere charged with dangerous throw

Sheffield Eagles centre Menzie Yere will appear before the RFL’s Disciplinary Committee tomorrow after he was charged with committing a Grade C dangerous throw on Leigh full-back Stuart Donlan in last Thursday’s 20-10 Co-operative Championship play-off victory.

If found guilty, Yere could face a suspension of two to three matches which would rule him out of Sunday’s Co-operative Championship Grand Final showdown against Featherstone Rovers at The Halliwell Jones Stadium, Warrington.

The RFL Match Review Panel also issued formal cautions to the following players:

Ryan Bailey (Leeds Rhinos) – use of knee in possession of the ball in the 19th minute;
Mikael Simon (Catalan Dragons) – tripping Wigan WarriorsRyan Hoffman in the 28th minute
