Yere charged for dangerous contact

Sheffield Eagles centre Menzie Yere will appear before the RFL Disciplinary Committee next week charged with making dangerous contact with an opponent.

The Papau New Guinea international committed the offence during last Sunday’s Co-operative Championship match against Featherstone Rovers at Bramall Lane.

Yere was charged with the Grade B offence of making a head slam on an opponent in the 79th minute of Sunday’s 34-12 defeat for the Eagles.

Yere was charged after the incident was reviewed by the RFL Match Review Panel earlier today.
