Half-back Danny Yates has signed a one-year contract extension at Rochdale.
Yates, 23, made his debut for the Hornets on dual-registration back in 2013, before moving to the club permanently in 2015.
He has made 86 appearances for the club, scooping the League 1 young player of the year award.
Head Coach Alan Kilshaw said: “Each year Danny has improved and I think 2018 will be his best season yet.
“He is a really likeable person and someone I enjoy working with. He is a great professional.”
Yates is the second Rochdale player to extend their deal for 2018, following on from winger Rob Massam.
