Wolves too strong for Widnes in the cup

MJ Black

Warrington have won eight of their last ten meetings with Widnes and are long odds-on to extend that run in the Challenge Cup on Sunday.

The Wolves produced a power-packed performance to see off St Helens last weekend, while the Vikings did the opposite and blew a big lead against Hull.

Warrington have reached the semi-finals five times in a row, progressing to two finals, and they look sure to make a bold bid to improve that record this year.

Tony Smith’s team are 10/11 (-14 points) at Betfred and they have enough firepower to cover that handicap.
