Wolves fans wheely looking forward to Magic Weekend

A group of Warrington Wolves fans will be making the journey to Newcastle for the Magic Weekend on two wheels in aid of the club’s foundation.

The cyclists will leave the Halliwell Jones Stadium at 6am on Thursday May 17, travelling through five counties to make the 200 mile journey in two days, all in aid of the Warrington Wolves Foundation.

Warrington are taking on Wigan at St James’ Park on Saturday May 19.

Foundation Director, Neil Kelly, said: “Over the years, many people have undertaken fundraising challenges to raise money for the Wolves Foundation and 2 Wheels to The Toon will undoubtedly be one of the toughest, both physically and mentally.

“The funds raised by the cyclists will used to support projects like Offload and the newly created Physical Disability Rugby League Team that change and in some cases literally save lives through sport. It is great to see Ian Lawton and John Welch from these projects jumping on board this year and I look forward to seeing them in Newcastle when they finish”.
