Toronto have signed halfback Greg Worthington from Leigh.

A Huddersfield junior who has also played at Featherstone, he rejoins former Centurions coach Paul Rowely at the Wolfpack.

“Greg is a player i hold in high regard after coaching against him,” Rowley said.

“My respect for him only strengthened when I got the chance to coach him, so it’s with great delight that the opportunity should arise again after he became available, and he showed so much commitment, and excitement to join our club from its birth, and help shape its future.

“Greg will without doubt, become a Wolfpack favourite.”

Worthington said he was excited by the prospect of joining the Wolfpack.

“I am really looking forward to starting a new adventure, and taking rugby league over to Canada,” he said.

“The opportunity to be part of something starting from scratch, really appealed to me, and is a great opportunity to see a different part of the world.”
