A group of 18 players have tried out over the last few weeks, with the process culminating with a victorious game against Brighouse Rangers at the weekend.

The Wolfpack potentials won that game 28-26, and three players have won deals, with the whole process the subject of a TV show called ‘Last Tackle’.

The three players are Jamaican Nathan Campbell, nicknamed ‘The Beast’, American Joe Eicher from the Jacksonville Axemen, and highly rated Canadian Quinn Ngawati, who is from Vancouver Island and has New Zealand Maori roots.
