Ryan Brierley has hailed new club Toronto Wolfpack as the biggest talking point in rugby league and says he can’t wait to be a part of it.

A long rumoured move to the League 1 side was finally confirmed on Thursday, with Huddersfield Giants saying goodbye to the half back in exchange for an undisclosed fee.

Brierley took to Twitter to say: “I’m excited to be joining the Toronto Wolfpack, they are the most talked about team at the moment and I can’t wait to be part of it.

“Marquee won’t change anything to me, I still want to improve and learn under Paul Rowley and I want to win games, that simple.

“To the Huddersfield fans, thank you for your support and I’m sorry it ended up like this, but my happiness is most important in my career.

“I wish the Giants all the best in the future and hope they get back up the table where they belong.”

Brierley scored 15 tries in 25 appearances for the Giants after arriving from Leigh last March.
