Crusaders half-back Michael Witt will appear before the RFL Disciplinary Committee on Tuesday evening following an incident in Sunday’s Engage Super League Round 7 fixture at Castleford Tigers.

Witt has been charged with the Grade B offence of punching Castleford full-back Richard Mathers in the 16th minute. Witt was charged after the incident was viewed by the RFL Match Review Panel earlier today.

Tigers duo Nick Fozzard and Willie Isa both received cautions from Sunday’s match, Fozzard for raised knees in possession of the ball in the fourth minute and Isa for dangerous contact in the 53rd minute.

Huddersfield Giants player Luke O’Donnell has been cautioned for a high tackle on Hull KR‘s Craig Hall in the 29th minute. Warrington Wolves back row Ben Westwood received a caution for punching Sam Tomkins in the 43rd minute and Harlequins RL centre Tony Clubb has been cautioned for dangerous contact on Hull FC‘s Epalahame Lauaki in the 70th minute.

The cautions will remain on the players’ disciplinary records for consideration in the event of future incidents.
