Barrow forward Willie Minoga has been granted compassionate leave after his pregnant wife was in a road accident.

Minoga, 31, has made 11 appearances for the Raiders after joining in the off-season from PNG Hunters.

The Papua New Guinea international played against England, Wales and Ireland at the 2017 World Cup.

A club statement said: “Willie Minoga is about to a board a flight for PNG (on Saturday).

“His pregnant wife has been involved in a serious road accident and the club have given Willie’s two weeks compassionate leave so he can be with his family.

“Our thoughts are with you Willie from all at Barrow Raiders.”
