Will Pryce of Huddersfield walks to thee tunnel after receiving a red card

Huddersfield half-back Will Pryce has been referred to tribunal over a Grade F charge as four Super League players have received suspensions.

The 19-year-old was shown a red card for a dangerous tackle on Hull winger Connor Wynne in the second half of his side’s 14-6 defeat at Hull on Sunday.

Pryce faces at least an eight-match ban after receiving a Grade F dangerous throw charge. He will find out his fate at the tribunal on Monday.

Speaking after the game, Huddersfield coach Ian Watson said: “It’s a big lesson for him to learn. The big thing is that he’s devastated in the changing room.

“He knows he’s messed up. What he’s got to do now is lick his wounds, see what consequences come from those actions and learn from them.

“He’s a good enough kid to learn and understand. You go through some bits of adversity as you go through your career and this is one that Will is going to have to face.”

Meanwhile, Castleford forward Brad Martin has been given a two-match ban for a Grade C high tackle after being sent off in Thursday’s defeat at Wigan.

Martin will miss Castleford’s upcoming matches against Leeds and Toulouse.

Leeds prop Zane Tetevano has been banned for two games for a Grade B reckless high tackle in their 26-12 defeat to Leeds. He will miss the next two games against Castleford and St Helens.

Catalans Dragons half-back Mitchell Pearce has received a two-match ban. He has been charged with a Grade C dangerous throw in their 18-10 win over Hull KR. He will miss their games against Featherstone in the Challenge Cup and Huddersfield.

Warrington captain Jack Hughes will miss Sunday’s cup tie against Wakefield after being given a one-match ban.
