Wildcats youngster handed full time deal

Wakefield have added another youngster to their first team squad, promoting Gareth Potts from their academy set-up.

Barnsley born winger Potts, 20, has signed a full time contract with the club after starring for the Wildcats reserves team last year.

Wildcats Head of Youth Development Tony Drury commented: “Gareth is a fantastic, young player and I am thrilled with the signing.

“This is a further development in our plan to recruit young, British players with the enthusiasm and hunger to succeed. I really look forward to working with him further here at the Wildcats, he has a great future ahead of him.”
