The Wakefield Trinity Wildcats are delighted to announce yet another signing for the 2012 season.

French forward Samy Masselot has signed a one year deal with the club that will see him join as a full time first team squad member.

Samy joined the Wildcats midway through the season after signing from French club Villeneuve through links with first team hooker Julien Rinaldi.

The 22 year old French man has made a string of impressive performances since his arrival including a stand out spell in the Rugby League 9’s competition last month. Samy’s strength and aggression is well noticed on the field and his power will prove to be a key asset throughout the 2012 season.

Wildcats Chief Executive James Elston commented, “It is fantastic that we have captured Samy’s signature for a further year. He is an extremely talented forward whose strength and drive will stand him in great stead in Super League.”

“I am eager to see Samy in action for the first team. I am certain that he will grasp this opportunity with both hands and we will see a lot more from this man next year.”

Samy added, “I am very grateful for this opportunity. I have really settled in here at Wakefield and I am very much looking forward to next year.”

“I hope that I can impress at that level and become a regular member of the team.”
