Wild joins Reds revolution

Salford have made their fourth signing for next season with the capture of Stephen Wild from Huddersfield.

Wild, 29, has spent the last five seasons with Huddersfield after breaking through the ranks at Wigan.

He joins Canterbury full-back Luke Patten, Bradford centre Chris Nero and Warrington back-rower Vinnie Anderson in signing for the Reds for next season, which is set to be their final year at their old Willows ground ahead of a move to a new stadium.

Wild said: “With me going to Salford, it is quite similar to when I came to Huddersfield.

“They are an ambitious club, especially when you look at the players they have signed, and I am looking to be a part of that.

“The news that they’re getting a new stadium is a bonus as well.”
