Wigan forward Callum Field has joined Dewsbury on a one-month loan deal.

The 21-year-old has made nine appearances for the Warriors since making his first-team debut in a Challenge Cup win over Swinton Lions in 2017.

Field will join the Rams for four weeks under the leadership of Lee Greenwood, who played for Halifax, Huddersfield Giants and London Broncos during his career.

On loaning Field to Dewsbury, Wigan transition coach Darrell Goulding said: “We feel this will be a good move for Callum in terms of his development at what is an important stage of his career.

“Dewsbury are a well-drilled outfit and Callum can go there and get some regular game time for the Rams.

“We’ll be keeping a close eye on how he is performing over the next month and we wish him well.”
