Wigan trio move to Workington on loan

Wigan trio Jack Murphy, Lewis Tierney and Rob Lever have joined Championship side Workington on a month’s loan.

Full-backs Murphy and Tierney have played a handful of games for the Warriors first team, while loose forward Lever has impressed for the club’s Under 19s side.

Warriors Rugby Manager Kris Radlinski said: “We are pleased that Jack, Lewis and Rob players will have the opportunity to gain some important First Team experience with Workington. 

“The agreement works well for both Clubs as Town will have three of our quality young players to add to their squad as the Championship season gets underway this weekend and for Wigan the players will come back once the deal ends with some game time under their belts having played in a very competitive environment.”
