Wigan have revealed a one-off shirt that the team will wear in this week’s Armed Forces clash against Leeds.

The Warriors will pay tribute to the Armed Forces with a special shirt to mark 100 years since the end of the First World War.

An alternative take on this season’s home kit, the shirt sees the cherry hoops replaced by poppies.

Warriors head of community and marketing Martin McLoughlin said: “Our Armed Forces game is one of the highlights of our calendar.

“With it being 100 years since the end of World War I, we wanted to do something special to show our support, so along with the Royal British legion and our partners, Errea, we have created this fantastic kit which I’m sure the fans will love.”

The shirt will be priced at £49, with a £10 donation from each kit sold made to the Royal British Legion.

Wigan take on Leeds at the DW Stadium on Thursday, 7:45pm kick-off.
