Wigan game re-arranged

Wigan’s Round 25 clash with Huddersfield has been moved to Sunday 15th August to accommodate Premier League football.

The Warriors were due to host the Giants on Friday 13th August, but Wigan Athletic FC will now play Blackpool at the DW Stadium on Saturday 14th August.

The game was originally due to be played at Bloomfield Road, but has been moved due to ongoing development work at the seaside club.

Warriors chairman Ian Lenagan said: “We have been asked by Wigan Athletic and the DW Stadium to change the Huddersfield home game to the Sunday to accommodate the change in the Premier League fixture the day before. We are more than happy to assist in this and would like to thank Huddersfield Giants for their agreement to switch the fixture to Sunday.”
