Wigan favourites to win Challenge Cup

Wigan are favourites to lift this year’s Challenge Cup at Wembley, as the Super League teams prepare to enter the tournament this weekend.

The Warriors, the most decorated club in Challenge Cup history, are 11/4 with William Hill, just ahead of last season’s winners Warrington (3/1) and Leeds (4/1).

Leeds have appeared in the last three finals at Wembley, and take on Castleford on Friday in their fourth round clash. The Tigers are the lowest priced Super League club at 100/1.

Huddersfield, who have enjoyed a solid start to the Super League season, are fifth favourites at 10/1, behind St Helens (11/2).

St Helens travel to Hull KR for their televised fourth round fixture on Saturday. The bookies don’t think too much of the Robins’ chances, pricing them at 40/1 to win the tournament overall.

Gloucestershire and Hemel are the rank outsiders at 1000/1. The two new Championship 1 teams both face Super League opposition in the shape of Salford and Wakefield this weekend.
