Wigan clash not about revenge for Burrow

Leeds pivot Rob Burrow has insisted that his team are not seeking revenge for their Magic Weekend defeat, when they travel to face Wigan on Thursday evening.

Although the Rhinos were beaten in Newcastle by the Warriors, Burrow insists that the game is about Super League points, not vengence.

“There is no score to settle we don’t won’t to get our own back or anything like that, but obviously we want to play well because they did beat us last time and did a pretty good job on us,” he told Sky Sports News HQ.

“So we want to play well and perform well enough to get the win.

“Last time we played Wigan they came off the back of a bad loss so they will be wanting to rectify their recent defeat against a team like Leeds.

“We need to be on our guard and take our good win against St Helens forward and keep that momentum going.”
