Wigan and St Helens joint favourites for 2020 Super League title – as first odds revealed

Super League sponsors Betfred have newly-crowned champions St Helens joint favourites at 3/1 with Wigan for Grand Final glory next season.

The Warriors fell in the semi-finals to Salford this season, but have signed Man of Steel Jackson Hastings for next season, with coach Adrian Lam also secure in his position following the Shaun Edwards drama earlier this year.

Saints are 11/4 favourites to claim a third successive League Leaders’ Shield, ahead of Wigan (3/1), Warrington (7/2) and Hull (8/1).

Newly-promoted Toronto Wolfpack are 50/1 to win Super League in their first season, and 33/1 to top the table at the end of the regular season – though expect those odds to shorten if they pull off any of the marquee moves they are being linked with.

Though no relegation odds have been announced, Huddersfield and Hull KR are the longest outsiders for the league leaders’ shield at 40/1 apiece, putting them in the frame to finish bottom.
