Wigan 29-2 Hull: Superb Warriors reach Super League Grand Final

Drew Darbyshire

Wigan produced a fine display to beat Hull 29-2 at the DW Stadium and reach the Super League Grand Final.

The Warriors will play the winner of St Helens-Catalans in the competition’s showpiece event at Hull’s KCOM Stadium on Friday, November 27.

Hull took an early lead thanks to a Marc Sneyd penalty goal but it was Wigan who got the game’s first try as winger Joe Burgess raced over in the 28th minute.

Rising star Harry Smith extended the Warriors’ advantage just moments later following a quick blindside play.

Smith added a drop goal for the hosts as the half-time hooter sounded to put Adrian Lam’s side 13-2 ahead at the break.

Zak Hardaker scored a brilliant try shortly after the second half restart as he combined well with Bevan French.

Tries from Jake Bibby and French late on put the cherry on top of the ice on top of the cake to send the Warriors to the Grand Final with a 29-2 victory.
