Widnes Vikings have confirmed their squad numbers for 2023, with the returning Tom Gilmore getting the number seven shirt at his hometown club.

The 28-year-old has returned to the Vikings on a two-year deal following two remarkable seasons with Championship rivals Batley.

Gilmore will link up with Jack Owens (1), Danny Craven (6), Matty Fozard (9) and Jordan Johnstone (14) in the spine of John Kear’s team this season.

New signing Will Evans has received the number four shirt on the back of an impressive World Cup campaign with Wales.

Winger Kieran Dixon has made his loan move from Leigh permanent and he will wear the number five jersey in 2023.

Former Ireland international Kyle Amor has made the move to go part-time in 2023 after spending nine seasons with Super League giants St Helens. He will wear 10 for Widnes.

Sam Wilde, Adam Lawton and Liam Bent will wear 11, 12 and 13 respectively for the Vikings.

Lewis Hatton and Max Roberts, who arrived from Swinton in the off-season, will wear 21 and 26 respectively.

Wales prop Ant Walker will don the 27 shirt after making the move from Bradford to reunite with his national coach Kear.
