Widnes sign Moore from Saints

Super League new boys Widnes have swooped to sign St Helens hooker Scott Moore on a three-year deal.

Moore, 23, played in Saturday’s Grand Final defeat against Leeds and was named in the England Knights squad earlier this week.

He spent 2008 on-loan at Castleford before a similar spell at Huddersfield in 2009 led to him earning full international honours.

Moore becomes Widnes’ 13th new signing for next season, on a list that also includes former Warrington hooker Jon Clarke and ex-Crusaders half-backs Lloyd White and Rhys Hanbury.
