Widnes quartet ruled out injured

Widnes have been dealt with four injury blows ahead of Friday’s trip to St Helens.

Rhys Hanbury, who was last week named in the 27-man Exiles squad for the International Origin test against England, has pulled a hamstring, which saw him hobble off towards the end of Friday’s 28-26 defeat to Wakefield.

Injured in the same game were Willie Isa, Ben Cross and Patrick Ah Van, who will all now miss the trip to Langtree Park.

Centre Isa has a shoulder injury, while Cross and Ah Van are both awaiting scans on knee injuries.

Coach Denis Betts is at least hoping to welcome back Dave Allen and Stefan Marsh for the round 14 clash.
