Widnes make three changes and Wakefield missing Liam Finn and Matty Ashurst

Widnes have been forced to make three changes for Friday’s clash with Wakefield, but Trinity will be missing duo Liam Finn and Matty Ashurst.

Widnes coach Denis Betts has made three changes to his side that lost to St Helens at Magic Weekend. Jimmy Keinhorst has been recalled from his loan by Leeds, while Rhys Hanbury and Alex Gerrard miss out. The trio are replaced by Ed Chamberlain, Jay Chapelhow and Owen Farnworth.

Chris Chester has made two changes to his Wakefield team that were beaten by Huddersfield Giants at St James’ Park. Chris Annakin and Max Jowitt come in for Finn and Ashurst.

The Super League fixture takes place at the Halton Stadium on Friday, 8pm kick-off.
