Widnes has retained the Karalius Cup with a 30-16 win over St Helens at Langtree Park.
Saints took the lead early on when former Vikings fullback Jack Owens fed Mark Percival to score in the left hand corner, but Widnes levelled things up when Patrick Ah Van collected a loose ball off Stefan Marsh to find his way over.
A fine opportunistic try from Joe Mellor, who raced 40 metres under the sticks from a quick tap penalty, gave Widnes the lead for the first and they were never to be behind after that.
The visitors made a strong start to the second half and two blistering scores put them well in control.
The first came down the right hand side, Corey Thompson set away by Mellor and then passing inside for Hanbury to score his second.
A scrappy final quarter saw Saints create some hope of a comeback through Turner, but Widnes had the final say when Paddy Flynn took Bridge’s pass to score in the right corner.
