Widnes forward Willie Isa has been banned for three matches following two incidents during the Challenge Cup semi-final defeat to Castleford.

Isa, 25, was charged with Grade B dangerous contact on both Kirk Dixon and Andy Lynch within a minute of each other in the second half of the game at Leigh Sports Village.

He pleaded guilty to the Dixon contact and was handed a two-match ban, and then received a one-match ban for the Lynch incident having pleaded not guilty.

The former Castleford player was also handed a £300 fine.

He will miss Widnes’ games against Huddersfield, Wigan and Bradford, enabling him to return for the final game of the regular season against Salford.
