Rangi Chase and Danny Walker say they’re delighted to have committed their futures to Widnes.

Chase joined the Vikings on loan in May from Castleford and has agreed a permanent two year deal, while Academy product Walker has signed a four year contract.

“I have loved my time with the Vikings, since day one,” said Chase.

“I’ve been welcomed here with open arms by the club, my teammates and the members. My experience here has been overwhelming, so it was an easy decision to sign this permanent deal.

“I’m looking forward to working with Denis (Betts) and my teammates over the coming years, to help it grow and enjoy success.”

Walker added: “I am delighted to have signed this contract, securing my future with the Vikings for the next four years.

“It is important to me that I stay loyal to this club and the people who have helped me get so far.

“I’m excited by what is being built at Widnes Vikings and the potential we have for the future.

“I’m now looking to claim my first team place and to help the Vikings achieve success in the seasons ahead.

“I’d like to thank my family, who have encouraged and supported me throughout my journey in rugby league.

“I’d also to thank the Vikings’ coaching team, including Phil Finney, Brett Hodgson and Denis Betts, who have been fantastic in supporting my development as a player.”
