Widnes have confirmed that Patrick Ah Van, Lloyd White, Charly Runciman and Alex Gerrard will leave the club following their relegation from Super League.

Ah Van, White and Gerrard have played in all seven seasons the Vikings have been back in the top flight, while Runciman joined in time for The Qualifiers campaign in 2015.

Vikings chief executive, James Rule, said: “All four of these players have provided Widnes supporters with fantastic memories from their time with our club.

“On behalf of everyone connected with the club, I would like to thank them and wish them the best of luck in their future careers.”

Former New Zealand Warriors winger Ah Van came to Super League with Bradford in 2011, before joining Widnes for 2012.

Since then he has scored more than 500 points in 113 appearances, including 89 tries.

Wales international hooker White joined from Crusaders at the same time, and made 141 appearances.

Australian centre Runciman has been a virtual ever present in an injury-depleted Widnes squad for the past two seasons while 26-year-old forward Gerrard is a product of the club’s academy.
