Widnes confirm dual registration agreement with Broncos

Widnes have announced that they have come to a formal dual registration agreement with London Broncos.

Vikings scrum-half Tom Gilmore has already spent some time with London this season, and more players could now follow him to the capital.

“As London Broncos sit outside the main corridor they have the ability to dual register with a number of clubs,” said Vikings head coach Denis Betts.

“Every club has the ability to set up an agreement with London as well as another partner club.

“We have chosen London Broncos because Tom Gilmore has been really successful down there.

“We are in dialogue with their coaching staff on a regular basis.

“We will use this agreement to get players who are not getting game time into playing regular rugby.

“This is a fantastic opportunity for us. It is something we are really looking forward to.

“As well as our dual registration agreement with Whitehaven we will look to use our agreement with London Broncos to provide Widnes Vikings players with opportunities to develop their careers.”
