Widnes chase sixth straight win

Toulouse coach Gilles Dumas is hoping to maintain his side’s form from their 46-32 win over York City Knights.

Toulouse are currently tenth in the Co-operative Championship, but victory on Saturday would see them climb above Hunslet Hawks and within a point of eighth-placed York.

Dom Crosby is unavailable after being suspended by the RFL’s disciplinary committee, but Chaz I’Anson and James Coyle are both set to feature for the Vikings.

Denis Betts’s side fly out to France on Friday in a bid to acclimatise before they attempt to continue their recent good form.

The Vikings have won their last five league games, against Dewsbury, Hunslet, Sheffield, York and Barrow.

Betts said: “We’ve been up and down a little bit with our performances, but we’re getting wins and that’s what’s key.”

He added: “We’ve had two tough games against Toulouse, and the score flattered us a bit on both occasions.

“We know this week is going to be difficult. Toulouse seem to enjoy playing against us, and they’ll make it a tough afternoon, I’m sure.”
