Halifax has managed an impressive 12-minute rally to draw 18-18 with Widnes at the Select Security Stadium.

It the first half it was all the home side, the Vikings racing to a 14-0 lead.

On 19 minutes Patrick Ah Van crossed after some nice lead-up work from Rhys Hanbury and Stefan Marsh.

It was the Handbury and Marsh connection again with the centre reaching out to score next.

The Australian fullback was having a field day and then set up Ah Van for the big winger’s second.

The Vikings were in control at half-time with the scoreline remaining 14-0.

They looked to have the game sewn up until the 68th minute when Halifax winger Will Sharp scored.

Then Ben Johnston went the full field for Halifax to cut Widnes’ lead to 14-12.

With four minutes left Paddy Flynn crossed and looked to have sealed the win for the Vikings.

But Fax didn’t give up, Luke Amber crashing over with a minute left on the clock. Connor Robinson converted to give the Championship side a dramatic draw.
