Whitehave have released forward Karl Olstrom from his contract by mutual consent.
The loose forward only signed a one-year contract extension with the League 1 club in the off-season, but Whitehaven have confirmed Olstrom has been released from his contract.
Olstrom made 10 appearances for his hometown club last season after nearly a decade of service at rivals Workington Town.
In a brief statement, Whitehaven said: “The club wishes to announce that we have come to an agreement with Karl Olstrom to release him from his contract with us as from today (Friday, April 6).
“This is by mutual consent. We wish Karl all of the best in the future.”
