St Helens forward Jordan Hand has agreed a deal to join Whitehaven on loan for the 2015 season.

The 21-year-old has played three games for the Saints first team, and has also made 44 appearances for other clubs on dual registration.

“Jordan did well on dual registration at Whitehaven last season so to join that club on loan for the coming season seemed the perfect fit,” Saints CEO Mike Rush said.

“He is a good young prop who needs to be playing week in week out and this loan period will allow him to gain valuable game time and continue his development.”

Hand will continue to train with Saints, as well as with Whitehaven. Saints have the option to recall him from loan at 48 hours’ notice.
