Castleford coach Daryl Powell has confirmed that the Tigers will be without prop Scott Wheeldon for around 10 weeks.

The forward has damaged a ligament, and will be in a protective boot for around six weeks, before beginning rehabilitation.

Scott Wheeldon has got an mcl (medial collateral ligament) injury, which is not great,” said Powell, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.

“He is going to be in a boot for six week and probably missing for 10.

“It’s disappointing for Scott, because he has been going okay for us.”
