Westwood facing lengthy ban

Warrington forward Ben Westwood is facing up to five games on the sidelines after being charged for his hit on Liam Sutcliffe on Friday.

Westwood, 35, was sin-binned for a late and high shot on the Leeds player during the Wolves first win of the Super League season at the weekend.

He has been charged with a Grade D offence of striking by the RFL Disciplinary Committee.

Meanwhile, Leigh forward Gareth Hock has been charged with a Grade B offence of foul and abusive language to a match official.

Mark Percival (disputing decision of referee), Jimmy Keinhorst (dangerous contact) and Sam Moa (knee in tackle) all have been handed Grade A charges, though can all submit early guilty pleas which would make them available for the Easter weekend.
