Joe Westerman: A lot more to come from Hull

Hull find themselves third in the Super League table after 13 rounds and loose forward Joe Westerman says there is more to come.

Westerman, 29, scored two tries in the 30-14 win over Wakefield at the weekend and they welcome Catalans to the KCOM Stadium on Friday.

Remarkably, Lee Radford’s men have managed it despite still having a negative points difference.

Westerman told the club’s official website: “There is still a lot more to come from this team.

“We’re busted at the moment, but if you’d have asked us if we’d have taken third at this stage of the season with the injuries we have, we’d have snapped your hand off.

“We’ll take a look at Catalans on Tuesday but it will be a similar game plan against the Dragons – they’re a similar side to Wakefield in a way with a big pack.”

Hull lost their first two games and have shipped 60 points twice in defeat to St Helens and Warrington, but have also enjoyed two memorable golden point victories over Wigan and Catalans.
