West Wales add three more to 2019 squad

West Wales have re-signed Dalton Desmond-Walker, Rowland Kaye and Morgan Jefferies for 2019.

Australian forward Desmond-Walker was a key member of the Raiders’ team in 2018 and will play his second season with the club next year.

Bridgend-born Kaye will provide a utility option for West Wales next term, with him being able to play in the centre or back-row.

Jefferies returns to the Raiders after missing all of last season through injury. He made his debut for the club in 2017 and can also play in the centre or back-row.

On re-signing the trio, a West Wales spokesperson said: “Dalton was a consistent performer for the Raiders in 2018 with his no-nonsense style of footy appreciated by his team-mates and supporters.

“Rowland is a powerful athlete who has the ability to break the line and set up his outside support. He will be looking to further develop under the coaching of Kim Williams and he is a player to watch in the future.

“Morgan is a strong defender and ball-runner who can play centre or back-row. He is another talented young Welshman who is looking to further improve his skills and knowledge under the new coaching staff.”
