Welsh international Elliott Jenkins commits to North Wales Crusaders

Welsh international Elliott Jenkins has committed to North Wales Crusaders for the 2021 season.

The 21-year-old earned caps for Wales in the 2018 European Championship and World Cup qualifiers. He joined Crusaders on a permanent basis ahead of the 2020 campaign.

Jenkins said: “I never had any doubts. I was never going anywhere else.

“I had a tough spell and had a year out from the sport, but I think I’m a good fit for the club and the club is a good fit for me.

“We’ve got a good team together and I think we raised a few eyebrows when we signed Jordy and Gav from the amateur game.

“We showed in the second-half against London exactly what we’re about. In the drier months, I think we would’ve gone really well.

“One of the conversations I had with Muzza (Anthony Murray, Crusaders coach) was about whether we were going with the same squad.

“A bit of experience thrown in with us younger lads isn’t going to hurt, but it’s important we keep the majority of the squad and get ready for next season.”
