New Bradford centre Kris Welham is ready for the different challenges that he will face in the Championship in 2016, after joining the Bulls from Hull KR.
The last time Welham played in the Championship was in 2006 with the Robins, but he has some idea of what to expect from Championship stadiums and facilities.
“I made my debut that year at Leigh’s old ground and also played away at Workington, so I kind of know what to expect from this division,” he told the Bradford Telegraph & Argus.
“It’s about going in and out having got the job done but I’ve got a lot of experience of these grounds down the years.
“I’ve played for Hull KR at Batley on their sloped pitch and for England Knights at Workington, where the changing room was tiny, very cold and the pitch was very wet and sloppy.
“I’ve got experience of playing on those two grounds and they’re not the best, but I got through that and I’m sure I’ll get through it again.”
